The scrap store in Newark is very good and full of things that the children can use for their creative activities. There is everything you can imagine; buttons, modelling clay, plastic bottles, tubes - you could create a master piece! Membership is £3.50 for the first person, then £2.00 for every other card holder. You then pay for the items you choose, which are really cheap; 3 big sheets of paper for 7p BARGAIN!. It's well worth a visit, the website address is on links; they also offer an online service where you can have your order delivered, but I have to say the children really enjoy the trip, picking all the things they want to use for their pictures.
