Grantham Childminding Group was set up in the spring of 2004 in order for childminders to have a base of support in their local area. We vary in ages and experience which is what makes our group great, as we all support each other and can share experiences so we are not isolated. Some have been childminding for 30+ years!
We meet up once a week so that we, and the children we care for, can have some social time. During these times we play, chat and do activities with the children.
If not already a group member, anyone can join. Telephone Liz Curtis (07955660429) giving her your OFSTED registration number and Cost is £30.00 per year for advertising on our website. Fees entitle the member to have an entry on this site plus to join in with any classes we put on, any training we put on and any outings or activities we put on. If you hold a position in the group, Chair person, Treasurer, Secretary or Website co-coordinator then your membership will be discount to £20.00 a year. Make sure you keep your details updated on www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/fis (this is where most of the work comes through); you could advertise on your car; put a leaflet up in shops and libraries; or do a local leaflet drop. If you are new to childminding and want to make friends and have a support network, make contact and come along and join us. These are organised by various members of the group over the year. It’s always great when people have ideas to share and step up to organise events for each other, so if you have ideas of something you would like to do please share it with the group. We usually get discount on group outings etc. Events organised are usually confirmed on our closed members only face book page and by email.
We all love money off and as childminders you can now get 10% off at Early Learning Centre's either by taking your registration certificate into a store or going to their new site for nurseries etc. and entering your registration number. As childminders we can have a special library card that allows us to take out more childrens books, and to keep them for longer. Please don't throw away your own card because sometimes they don't let you take out adult books on this card.
